Congratulations to St Joseph’s Primary which has been awarded the prestigious Gold School Sports Award by Sport Scotland.
They are the first primary school in Edinburgh to gain this award and have worked extremely hard over the past year to secure this Gold status. This award is led by a school’s sports committee made up of pupils, staff and Active schools.
Five of these pupils who started this process are now in 1st year at St Augustine’s; Skye Knight, Ellie Keenan, Ola Kozlowska, Charlie Grant and Arabella Temu . These girls did a fantastic presentation of the process, speaking at the ceremony and the flag raising. Well done girls!
Mr Murray and Fiona Damen (Active Schools) are working hard to ensure this committee is set up at St Augustine’s and the we can proceed with our assessment for the Sports Award in either Bronze , Silver or Gold . P
