Hour of Code Week (7th-11th December)

This week in Computing pupils have been participating in the Hour of Code.

The Hour of Code is a worldwide initiative to promote the learning of computer science, in particular, how to program computers.

Learning to program can be an advantage regardless of which career path pupils follow. Knowing how to make a computer do something you want it to do, rather than having to use it in the way someone else has decided, is a useful and important skill.

However, the Hour of Code and learning to program is not just something for pupils attending school – anyone can learn to program!

Pupils who have started the Hour of Code lessons in class can continue learning to program using computers and tablets outside of school.

If you haven’t tried to program then sign up for free at https://code.org/learn.
