Family STEM challenge

On Tuesday 31st January we will be hosting our first family STEM challenge and we would like to invite you to join us as a family to compete in an activity looking at coding and decoding messages. The activity also moves on to looking at how websites are built from massive blocks of code and how code can be cracked. The session will be sponsored and run by Tata Consultancy Services, in conjunction with the Engineering Development Trust (EDT), and will involve information about cyber security. You don’t have to be good at coding or into computers; this challenge is designed to be enjoyable for everybody taking part. The event will run here at St Augustine’s from 5pm until approximately 7:30 and is suitable for all ages from around P4 to adult. Teams can be up to 6 people, up to a maximum of around 20 teams, and do not have to contain only people from within your family but each team should contain at least one pupil from St Augustine’s.

If you are interested in booking a table for the event could I ask that you contact Mr Dalgleish at the earliest opportunity as spaces are likely to go quickly.
