P7- S1 Transition 2020-21

Welcome to St Augustine’s RC High School. We are delighted to hear that you are joining us in August 2021 and look forward to meeting you soon.

Unfortunately we are unable to have an Open Evening or Face to Face transition visit but on this page, you will find a virtual tour of the school and some other information which will be of interest. You can also have a general look around the website as well. You will also have hopefully managed to complete some of the work on the P7 Teams page.

LipDub video / virtual tour of the school can be found here on YouTube.v=btUPxCuoRyg

You may also find the BBC Bitesize – Starting Secondary School website helpful.

Our Pupil Support Leaders will hopefully be able to visit you in your Primary schools in the summer term.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions – but unfortunately, we cannot meet face-to-face at present.

Ties are normally available to purchase from the school office for £7. However, there is nobody there at present. They will be available to purchase whenever we return to school. Applications for free schools meals and clothing grants can be made at https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/food-clothing/free-school-meals-school-clothing-grants

How to support your child’s literacy – should take you to our youtube channel as it is too large a file to display here

You may also find the supports on our mental health and wellbeing supports useful.

You can apply for school transport if you are attending your catchment school and the distance of your main residence from school is over three miles for secondary school. Further information is available at https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/support-pupils/school-transport/1.
