School Vision for Digital Learning
Learners will
- Have equal and appropriate access to digital technology wherever and whenever it is beneficial to their learning both inside and outside of the classroom. This will be achieved by a flexible approach to provision of equipment, using school, local authority and devices to ensure a 1:1 access for all.
- Be able to develop their learning by effective and creative use of digital technology resources including software and online learning resources created at national and local levels and which help to promote group activities as well as independent learning skills.
- Be able to use a variety of online communication resources such as e-mail, forums, blogs etc. to communicate and collaborate with fellow students, teachers and the wider world where appropriate.
- Develop an awareness of personal responsibility and safety when using digital technology to access wider resources and when communicating with others.
Staff will
- Raise achievement of all pupils using digital technology, where appropriate, taking into account issues relating to inclusion and allowing for differentiation with pupils that need additional help to access learning.
- Make use of a wide range of stimulating and creative technologies to promote learning across the curriculum.
- Use a range of digital technology systems to communicate effectively with other staff, pupils and parents and to contribute to the administration of the school.
- Develop their skills through appropriate CLPL opportunities.
Parents/Carers will
- Access information about the life and work of the school via the school twitter account, the school website, text messages and other appropriate online forums.
- Work in partnership with the school in order to support learning through appropriate use of online facilities.
- Obtain information regarding their child’s progress through regular tracking and monitoring reports
