Education Scotland – Parentzone has lots of useful links on how to support your child with their learning at home including – “What can I do as a parent”, “Supporting Study” and information about the Scottish curriculum.

The National Parent Forum for Scotland also has useful information as well as being an opportunity for parents to become involved in discussions about Scottish education.

Assessing Children’s Progress:A Guide for Parents and Carers is a guide produced by the Scottish Government regarding the expectations about assessing children’s progress in school.

How to Support Your Child with National Qualifications and Exams is published by the SQA and is of use to any parent of a pupil in S4, S5 or S6.

Parenting Across Scotland offers lots of advice about parenting, including a list of helplines and advice on a range of topics about teenagers (and other ages).

Zachęcaj do czytania.

Rozwijaj umiejetności matematyczne i językowe dziecka w środowisku domowym np. pieniądze, liczby, działania na liczbach, mierzenie, czas, czytanie, pisanie, rozumienie/wykonywanie instrukcji.

Zachęcaj Twoje dziecko do brania udziału w pozaszkolnych zajęciach w celu rozwijania jego umiejetności i zainteresowań.

Pracujecie i uczcie się razem np. pomoż Twojemu dziecku przygotować projekt do szkoły; rozmawiaj z dzieckiem w jaki sposób możesz mu pomóc.

Przygotuj dziecko na zmiany np. zmiana szkoły.

Rozmawiaj z dzieckiem o jego uczuciach.
